The competition cheer team traveled to East River High School to compete in the Metro Cheer Competition on Saturday.

The team performed at 12:35 p.m. as a small varsity team in the east division. The girls went against nine other schools in the east division, including Oak Ridge and Timber Creek.

With a smooth start, the girls pumped up the crowd throughout their routine and hit all stunts except for the final pyramid.

The Lady Braves placed fifth among the 10 teams. Winter Park took first with University following in second.

The team will travel to Hudson High School on Jan. 20 for the FHSAA regional competition.
