The NorthLake Park Community School in Lake Nona represents an innovative public-private partnership. Opened in 1999, the City of Orlando, Orange County Public Schools, YMCA, Lake Nona and ORMC came together to build a neighborhood center combining a new public elementary school, city park and family wellness/recreational facility. NLP has continued to have a tradition of excellence and innovation and is currently working to establish a Cambridge Academy within the school to allow students to continue to thrive and achieve at high levels.
Principal Lee Parker has more than sixteen years in the field of education. He was born in Central Florida and has been married to his wife, Genell, for 18 years. They enjoy traveling internationally and around the United States. Mr. Parker is an avid reader, has a love for all genres of music and enjoys playing the piano. Mr. Parker obtained his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Nova Southeastern University.
