Wolf Lake ES is an “A” rated school in rural Apopka serving over 1100 students.  The school is the proud winner of the Golden School Award and the Five Star School Award each year.

Wolf Lake has a high level of community involvement and a very active and committed PTO.  The teachers and staff are best known for creating a community culture and sense of “family” within the school through their “House” system and altruistic outreach.  Creative and engaging teaching methods including transformations, flexible seating options and thematic units, make this school a place of excitement and hands-on learning.

This year, as the school joins the Innovation Learning Community, they will be offering Learning Lab experiences for their students in Science, Technology and “Life Hacks.” They will also be training staff in Multi-Sensory instructional approaches by implementing the Orton-Gillingham program.  Finally, they are looking forward to opening the Fall of 2020 with a ribbon-cutting on their “Wolf Lake Village” project, which creates a simulated, child-sized “town” for students in PreK-2 to engage and interact in real-world experiences during recess.
