SunRidge MS has is located in Winter Garden on the west side of Orange County. SunRidge opened in August 2012 as a traditional 6-8 grade middle school. SunRidge has been named a state of Florida School of Excellence and an Orange County School of Innovation. SunRidge offers rigorous core academic coursework and engaging electives to all students. SunRidge takes great pride in our award winning FFA program, active fine arts department, championship winning athletic teams, and Project Lead the Way program. SunRidge staff are currently working with community members to further develop their innovation plan for the 2019-2020 school year.
Principal Amy McHale is an Orlando native. She graduated from Dr. Phillips High School after attending OCPS schools K-12. She received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Florida State University. While teaching seventh and eighth grade science, she earned her Masters degree in School Counseling from the University of Central Florida. One of her most rewarding jobs was as a middle school counselor. Mrs. McHale then went on to earn her Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from NOVA. She has served OCPS as an administrator for 14 years. Mrs. McHale is proud to be a part of the SunRidge family since July 2018.
